About San Francisco Law School

Welcome from the Dean

We’re Helping Our Students Make History Every Day

Since we welcomed our first class of students in 1909, San Francisco Law School has dedicated itself to inclusivity and accessibility. While fighting for civil rights for all, we’ve helped women, minority students, and other communities who were categorically excluded from higher education to pursue advanced degrees.

As the oldest evening law school in the Western United States, SFLS paved the way for working adults and parents to pursue a law degree otherwise inaccessible to them. This evening class schedule offered the flexibility that so many needed to become exceptional lawyers.

Sincerely,

“For nearly a century, San Francisco Law School has been an integral part of the community, dedicated to providing law students an affordable and accessible alternative to full-time study. As the oldest accredited evening law school in the western United States, San Francisco Law School has graduated generations of successful lawyers and deservedly earned the reputation as having one of the best evening law programs in California.”
